Printmaking Classes

This course is designed to suit the absolute beginner through to experienced artists.

Beginners will be guided through, step by step and shown the basics of lino cuts, wood cuts and dry point etching and other printmaking methods. For the more advanced students, Carrie can assist with more technical printmaking techniques, design ideas and inspiration to develop their art practice.

Other printmaking methods may also be demonstrated such as Cyanotype, Drypoint and Gelli Plate Printing.

Each session will run for 2 hours. Students can enjoy a fully equipped, studio that is a shared space with other artists and also a gallery and retail area where they are welcome to shop for printmaking supplies and other products/art in the gallery.

Starling Studio has an easy to use printing press for students, as well as all the tools and start up materials required for printmaking adventures.

Terms & Conditions

Please read this carefully BEFORE booking.

Limited spaces are available for term bookings.

Your spot in the class is confirmed once your term fee is paid in full.

Course fees must be settled fully at least two weeks prior to the term start date.

If no payment is received, your spot will be given to another applicant.

No refunds or transfers - if you are unable to attend the class, please consider gifting your spot to another creative.

If you are unwell, please do not come to class.   Carrie will be happy to ‘catch you up’ on anything you missed when you next attend. There are no additional classes or transfers provided if you can not attend a class.

If your tutor is unwell, additional classes will be added to the end of the term or on a weekend day to make up any missed lessons.
